 On Tuesday, November 8, at 5 p.m. at the Fishers Library Lisa Yankey, Staff Attorney with the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic where she serves as the department head for the Immigrants in Crisis Program, will speak on Work Authorization in the United States and how to keep your business legal. Ms. Yankey will discuss: who is eligible to work in the US, how does one show work eligibility, Social Security Cards as work authorization, how does an employer show compliance with checking employment eligibility, six basic things about using Form I-9 and E-Verify to check employment authorization, and what happens if employers are NOT “I-9 Compliant”?
