New Perspectives on Snoring and C-PAP Alternatives - POSTPONED

Event Type: Adult Program
Age Group(s): Adult
Date: 9/26/2013
Start Time: 6:30 PM
End Time: 8:00 PM
Description:
Sleep apnea is characterized by snoring, daytime fatigue and struggling to breathe during sleep. The traditional treatment “CPAP” is not well tolerated by many patients. Custom made oral appliances, fitted by a dentist with advanced education in sleep medicine, are being embraced as the best alternative to CPAP for properly selected patients. Untreated sleep apnea affects 10-15% of middle aged adults. It contributes to heart disease, diabetes, brain impairment and accidents due to drowsiness.
Join us for an informative discussion of sleep apnea and oral appliances. You will discover if oral appliance therapy is appropriate for you and how it can transform the quality of your life without affecting the comfort of your sleep. This treatment is partially covered by many health insurances and Medicare. Presented by Richard Gillum, DDS of Indy Dental Sleep.
