Minnetrista will be presenting an amazing theatrical performance from Ford’s Theatre: One Destiny. This work was written by a New York playwright and has been performed exclusively by Ford’s Theatre and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
Learn about Lincoln’s assassination from two men who were there. Actor Harry Hawk and Ford’s Theatre co-owner Harry Ford revisit the events of April 14, 1865. As they reconstruct the sequence of events, they grapple with the question: Could John Wilkes Booth have been stopped? This 35-minute presentation explores the key facts of the assassination while capturing the emotions of that fateful night. This performance is recommended for audiences ages 8 and up.

A woman is being blackmailed into marriage by the mob in Happily Never After by Jeaninee Frost. However, she finds a protector who makes the mob look like choir boys.
Review
Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin, although publicized as a thriller, is actually a sensitive study of both the best and worst in the author's very human characters. Set in the deep South beginning in the 1960's the novel follows the often tragic lives of both white and black characters as they attempt to survive financial and emotional poverty and the effect of childhood experiences on their adult lives. A must read for those who enjoy Southern Literature at its best.

Ella's Wish was the second book in a series about an Amish girl who loses her fiancee'. She moves into a newly built house and starts taking care of three little girls. I can't wait to read the third book in this series to see if Ella marries the father of the girls. Great book if you like to read about the Amish.

Review
Doc by Mary Doria Russell is a fictional account of John Henry Holliday's (aka 'Doc' Holliday) life and times, including how he met and became an 'adopted' brother to Wyatt Earp and his siblings. Though this is a fictional work it reads more like a bio-epic.
Review
Funhouse By: Dean Koontz

This is not one of he better books. Did not like it.
Review
Dead On The Dance Floor by Heather Graham is set around the death of a champion dancer who dies while competing. Is it an accidental overdose or murder? A cop gets his brother who is a p.i. to secretly investigate by taking classes himself.
Review
The Harvest by Scott Nicholson. Sci-fi story with a Stephen King flavor. About an alien "seed/plant" that arrives in Appalachia. Lots of little stories intertwined with main story. Enjoyable read.

Review
The Killing Edge by Heather Graham is about a young woman who was a victim in a killing spree. Ten years later, she is a psychologist and someone is killing just like ten years before. Everyone thought that a murder-suicide after the killing spree was the end of those killing spree killers. Is it or is someone copycatting the murders from ten yeas before?
