|Mary and Her Monster-An Afternoon with Mary Shelley|
Event Type: Adults|
Start Time: 2:00 PM
End Time: 4:00 PM
On a dark and stormy night, Mary Wolstonecraft Shelley, began writing “Frankenstein” as a way of participating in the writing of ghost stories with Percy Shelley and Lord Byron. Mary was only 18 years old. The book was published in 1818. This year we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the book, but who was Mary Shelley? In her own style of her one-woman, first person narrative shows, storyteller Lou Ann Homan will take us into the life of Mary Shelley. You will leave the 55 minute show thinking you personally know Mary…perhaps you will!
This program may not be suitable for younger patrons.
