Description
This class will introduce you to Photoshop Elements, so you can start editing your photos and creating amazing projects. We'll cover a variety of tools and skills, including: red eye removal, whiten teeth, adding text, cropping, lighting and color adjustments, spot healing brush; adding special effects: textures, frames, effects, and filters; and Quick Selection tools. Participants should already feel comfortable using PCs, but Photoshop Elements experience is not required. You are not required to take this class if you prefer to take a higher level class.

A new teen book club focusing on books that are retellings, prequels, and sequels to classic literature, fairy tales, and mythology. This month we're reading Uprooted by Naomi Novik, a retelling of the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale. Books for the next month are distributed at each meeting. Extras are available after the meetings in the TeenZone.

The American Association for Retired Persons (AARP) will provide free tax assistance for seniors, low-income families and individuals at the Noblesville Library. Assistance will be available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. February 1 through April 13. AARP volunteers are trained, tested, and monitored by the IRS. Electronic filing is available. Assistance will be provided on a first come first served basis. Please bring your Social Security card and a government issued ID such as a driver's license; it is IMPERATIVE that you also bring LAST YEAR'S TAX RETURNS! Learn more editing techniques for use in Photoshop Elements, including: beginning to work with layers; Expert mode tools and panels (Shapes, Paint bucket, Color Picker, Effects, Graphics, and Smart Brush); and Selection tools in Expert mode (marquee and lasso tools and review Quick Selection group). Attendees should have some Photoshop Elements experience prior to coming to class. We will be covering more advanced techniques, so it's important to feel comfortable using basic features of Photoshop Elements first.
