Animalia will bring animals native to Indiana, such as a red-tailed hawk, opossum, raccoon, skunk, and map turtle for us to experience. We will learn about animal adaptations and may even get to touch the animals. Animalia's expert animal handlers will share their knowledge of each animal and its habitat in a fun and engaging program. Great for families with children age 5 and up.  No registration is required.  As a non-profit public charity, it is Animalia's mission to engage and educate the public to further the appreciation, conservation and responsible care for natural habitats and animals: native, exotic and domestic.

Happy 200th Birthday, Indiana! Welcome to the 2016 Hamilton East Public Library Summer Reading Program: Summer Under the Stars for Kids! Registration begins May 1st, but the actual reading fun doesn't start until June! This programs runs from June 1st through July 31st and is open to everyone from babies to students entering fifth grade (Fall 2016). Just keep track of how many pages you read (or have read to you) and record them in your account. This program has four levels of 400 pages each (which is about 12 picture books). Once you finish each of the four levels, you may stop by either location at Fishers or Noblesville to collect a prize. But don't stop reading! For every additional 400 pages completed, you are entered into our end-of-summer raffle! Good luck!
