In Word part I we will learn to create and format simple documents. Word I covers the basics of the Word 2013 word processing program. We create a brochure, and through that learn how to format text, insert bullet points, insert and format pictures, shapes, text boxes, and borders. Get the answers to your computer questions. Whether or not you're a computer beginner, we are happy to offer you a free, half-hour, one-on-one session with one of our reference librarians. Receive basic computer tutoring in areas like basic computer/internet/email use, iPad & eReaders, digital downloads, Microsoft Office, library catalog and other online resources. We cannot help troubleshoot or fix hardware issues. Please come prepared with your questions and any passwords related to your issue. We will meet in the computer training lab at the Fishers Library. This class will introduce you to Photoshop Elements, so you can start editing your photos and creating amazing projects. We'll cover a variety of tools and skills, including: red eye removal, whiten teeth, adding text, cropping, lighting and color adjustments, spot healing brush; adding special effects: textures, frames, effects, and filters; and Quick Selection tools. Participants should already feel comfortable using PCs, but Photoshop Elements experience is not required. You are not required to take this class if you prefer to take a higher level class.

The Tween Drama Club will hold a call out August 18th.  Registration is required and the regular club begins September 8th and will meet the 2nd and 3rd Thursday of each month. Participation in all sessions helps you prepare for the final production--January 19th.  Our theme for all the fall is "Fractured Fairytales." We will do skits, improv games, and reader's theater. The goals of the program are to learn about drama and the theater, improve communication skills, gain confidence in front of an audience, and mostly to have fun.
